Limestone 不是一只会在第一天就跑来撒娇的猫。当有人突然靠近时，她会害怕、会想逃，因为她还不知道眼前的人会不会伤害她。但只要拿出一点点猫条，慢慢跟她说话，她就会鼓起勇气靠近你。等她吃着猫条时，你轻轻摸摸她，她会舒服地安静下来，默默享受那份温柔。

她其实一直都没有放弃相信人。在照顾她的过程中，我们需要把她从笼子里抱出来、做各种必要的照护。即使她害怕得拼命挣扎，只想逃跑，她也从来没有张口咬人、没有伸爪攻击。她只是用尽全力保护自己，却从来没有想过伤害任何人。

很多人看到这样的猫，可能会觉得「她不亲人」。但我们看到的，是一只曾经受过惊吓、却依然愿意相信人类的孩子。她不是冷漠，只是需要比别的猫多一点时间，去确认：「这次，我真的安全了吗？」

Limestone 和其他猫咪相处得很好，不会主动挑起冲突，也能和平共处。她需要的不是一个完美的主人，而是一个愿意放慢脚步、不逼迫她、愿意陪她慢慢建立信任的家。

也许有些人想要的是一只一回家就撒娇的猫；但如果你愿意等待 Limestone，那份慢慢建立起来的信任，会比任何天生亲人的猫更加珍贵。

Limestone isn’t the kind of cat who will run up to you on the first day asking for cuddles.

When someone approaches too quickly, her first instinct is to run. She’s scared because she doesn’t yet know if people are safe. But offer her a Churu or a tasty treat, speak to her gently, and you’ll see her slowly gather the courage to come closer. While she’s enjoying her treat, she’ll quietly let you pet her—and before long, she’ll relax and start enjoying the affection.

Deep down, Limestone wants to trust people.

During her time in foster care, we’ve had to pick her up for daily care and move her in and out of her kennel. Even when she was terrified and struggling to get away, she has never tried to bite or scratch anyone. She doesn’t want to hurt people—she’s simply frightened and wants to escape. Once she realizes she’s safe, she melts into gentle pets and quietly enjoys being loved.

Some people may see a shy cat and walk away. We see a cat whose heart has been hurt, but who hasn’t given up on trusting humans. She isn’t unfriendly—she just needs a little more time than most to believe that this time, she’s finally safe.

Limestone gets along well with other cats and is happy to share her space peacefully. What she truly needs is a patient family willing to let her adjust at her own pace.

Not every cat will love you on day one. But the love of a cat like Limestone—one that chooses to trust you after overcoming her fears—is something truly special.
